A few days before the departure of the party, Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had said in his interview that a team of senior officials of his ministry would undertake a two-day tour of the Kashmir Valley on August 27-28. Naqvi had told that this team will explore the possibilities of socio-economic and educational development in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and work will be started soon for them in an effective manner.
